Day 3 Delhi to Jaipur: -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Jaipur, approximately 267 km from New Delhi. Jaipur, built in 1727, was the dream of the ruler Jai Singh. It has retained its reputation as one of the foremost cities in India, planned and developed in a manner that continues to draw praise from modern town planners.
Jaipur is known as the Pink City because many buildings are still painted pink, the traditional colour of welcome, which was originally introduced to honour the visit of Prince Albert in 1856.
Arrive in Jaipur and transfer to your hotel. After freshening up, relax at the hotel. In the evening, enjoy dinner and have an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Jaipur Sightseeing: -
Morning after breakfast, proceed to Amber Fort. Just a few minutes' drive from Jaipur, this colossal fort is located on a hilltop. Drive through the old road towards Jaigarh Fort.
Visit this impressive complex, which houses, among other attractions, the world's largest cannon on wheels. Then walk downhill for about 30 minutes to reach Amber Fort. Discover temples and palaces surrounded by massive fort walls.
Later, after lunch, continue sightseeing in the afternoon. Visit the City Palace, which has a museum with an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamelware, and weapons; Jantar Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1728; and the façade of Hawa Mahal. Day 5 Jaipur Sightseeing: -
Morning after breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit Abhaneri, about 1½ hours from Jaipur. Abhaneri is famous for its ancient temples and step wells and is located near Jaipur.
Abhaneri is a small village situated about 70 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Agra road. The place is popular for its amazing "Baoris" (step wells) and Harshat Mata Temple. The village of Abhaneri is believed to have been established by King Raja Chand.
Later, continue the drive to Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri. After sightseeing, continue to Agra and stop at a good restaurant for lunch. Arrive in Agra in the evening and enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri, a city predominantly built of red sandstone, is situated about 37 km from Agra. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in honour of Sheikh Salim Chisti. Its magnificence and uniqueness offer a fine example of the emperor's architectural finesse.
