Day 1. Arrival Amritsar
Arrive at Amritsar Railway Station/Airport. On arrival meet and greet by our representative who will take you to the hotel. Check in hotel take some rest. Later start your city tour with the blessings of Sri Harmandir Sahib. Sri Harmandir Sahib is named after Hari (God) the temple of God. This is also known as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. It was built by the fifth Sikh guru, Guru Arjan, in the 16th Century. In 1604, Guru Arjan Dev Ji completed the Adi Granth, the holy scripture of Sikhism. There are four doors to get into the Harmandir Sahib, which symbolize the openness of the Sikhs towards all people and religions (Hindu Skh Cristian and Muslims). The Gurdwara is surrounded by a large lake or holy tank, known as the Sarovar, which consists of Amrit (holy water). Sri Harmandir Sahib is the heritage of the Sikh people gathered in their five hundred years old history.
After that visit Jallianwala Bagh, which is a memorial to the countless numbers of innocent Indians which were massacred by General Dyer in 13 April 1919 which happened to be "Baisakhi" one of Punjab's largest religious festivals. British General, Edward Dyer, ordered his soldiers to opened fire on an unarmed gathering of Hundreds men, women and children in this place.
Late evening if you want to go to the temple, you can stay at Parisar, you can see the temple or the beauty nearby, at night you can go to your hotel and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 2. Sight Seen Amritsar
Morning after breakfast visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It is surrounded by the lovely garden Ram Bagh. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a prominent figure, who had carved a niche for himself in the history of India. Later visit Durgiana Temple, Durgiana Temple is a premier Hindu temple of Punjab situated in the city of Amritsar. This temple derives its name from the Goddess Durga and it is also called by the name of Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
In the evening at 16.oo hr. visit Wagah Border India / Pakistan Border which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. Indeed the flag-lowering ceremony at the end of each day on the India / Pakistan border at Wagah in Punjab has over the years become a tourist destinations. The two flag posts are located contiguous to the boundary line between the two gates. The Wagah check-point is about mid-way between the cities of Lahore in Pakistan and Amritsar in India, each about 25 kilometers away. Return to the Hotel, Overnight at Amritsar Hotel.
Day 3. Amritsar - Jalandhar
Morning after Breakfast leave from Amritsar, drive to Jalandhar on arrival in Jalandhar check in into the hotel. After that start your city tour with Pushpa Gujral Science City. This Science City is being built with its aim of learning, fun & amusement out of Science for people of all ages & all walks of life. Pushpa Gujral Science City deals with all modern aspects of science and technology and covers a variety of topics. Like Physical, applied, natural and social sciences to engineering, technology, agriculture, health sciences, energy, industries, human evolution and civilization, the environment and ecosystems etc. Here is Robotics and Biotechnology also find place in the versatile science city.
Then visit Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi. Guru Hargobind, the sixth Guru of the Sikhs visited the city of Jalandhar during his tour of Doaba area. Gurdwara Chhevin Patshahi in Basti Shaikh, Jalandhar city, stands on the spot where Guruji granted interview to a Muslim holy saint popularly known as Shaikh Darvesh. This saint had his eyes blindfolded so that he can prove Mughal Emperors, that he hasn’t seen the Guru. The both great men discussed in depth about the spiritualism and at the end Islamic Saint was more impressed it seems. This entire event took place in the spot in Basti Sheikh Gurudwara Chhevin Patshahi stands now.
Visit Devi Talab Mandir: Devi Talab Mandir It is situated in the heart of Jalandhar City. The old Devi Talab has been renovated and in its centre, a new temple has been built. Now Recently a model of Amarnath Yatra has been built in the premises.An old temple of goddess Kali also stands by the side of the Devi Talab. It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and the Kali is known as Tripurmalini. Lord Shiva of this temple is called Bhishan Bhairav.
Later visit Rangla Punjab Haveli. This is A traditional Punjabi village themed resort, it offers the ambience of a lost. Now it has grown to add a marriage palace and an enlosure called Rangla Punjab, which has a cultural program every evening. In the late evening return to the Hotel, Overnight stay at Jalandhar Hotel.
Day 4. Jalandhar - Ludhiana
Morning after a good Breakfast, proceed to big industrial city Ludhiana on arrival in Ludhiana check in hotel. Gurudwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib is the most popular Gurudwara located in Field Ganj in the City. It is one of the big Gurudwaras of the city and is the first Gurudwara in India to use Hi-Tech projector for spreading the Kirtans and message of the Guru. Thousands of devotees from different regions visit this Gurudwara daily and pay homage to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
Later visit Nehru Rose Garden. Nehru Rose Garden, established in the year 1967 is one of the most verdurous and greenest spaces in the vicinity of Ludhiana. Sprawling over an all-embracing area of 27 acres, this is the largest rose garden in entire Asia continent. Nehru Rose Garden is the proud owner of the largest collection of rose flowers numbering 17000 plants that represent about 1600 different varieties of rose species. In the late evening Return to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Ludhiana Hotel.
Day 5. Ludhiana - Patiala
Morning After Breakfast, proceedLudhiana to Patiala, check in the hotel. little rest and start your tour Qila Mubarak Complex. Quila Mubarak a Historical National Monument of Patiala is situated in the heart of the city and the oldest part of Patiala. The palace was built and drsignd by Maharaja Ala Singh in 1764/ The Qila Mubarak complex stands in 10-acre ground and contains the main palace or Qila Androon the guesthouse or Ran Baas and the Darbar Hall.
Afterwards that visit fabulous Sheesh Mahal. The Sheesh Mahal was built Sheesh Mahalbehind the main Moti Bagh Palace to serve as a pleasure complex. The paintings in two of its well maintained , mirror-worked chambers are of Kangra and Rajasthani qalam, depicting the poetic visions of Keshav, Surdas and Bihari. The Sheesh Mahal now houses a museum, an art gallery, the famed medal gallery and also the North Zone Cultural Centre.
Then visit Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib: This Sikh shrine is located in the small village of Lehal which is now a part of Patiala city. A local tradition says that one Bhag Ram, a villager of the jhivar caste from Lehal village, went to the nearby town of Saifabad (now Bahadurgarh) to meet the visiting Sikh Guru Teg Bahadur. He pleaded with the Guru to visit and bless Lehal village so that its inhabitants could get rid of a mysterious sickness which had been plaguing the village for a long time. The place where the Guru sat came to be known as Dukh Nivaran, meaning the eradicator of suffering. Devotees visiting the shrine have great faith in the healing qualities of the water in the sacred sarovar by the gurdwara. Return to the Hotel, Overnight stay at Patiala Hotel.
Day 6. Patiala - Anandpur Saheb
Morning after breakfast proceed to Anandpur Sahib from Ludhiyana. It is one of the most important sacred places of the Sikhs and is closely linked with their religious tradition and history. Anandpur Sahib was founded in the year 1665 by the ninth Sikh Guru Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibnear the ruins of an ancient place Makhowal.
Then visit Sri Kesgarh Sahib. Gurudwara Shri Kesgarh Sahib is situated in the central place of city Anandpur Sahib. It is also known as Takht Shri Kesgarh Sahib. Anandpur Sahib was founded in 1665 by the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh BahadurSahib Ji, near the ruins of an ancient place, Makhowal. The most precious of these is the actual Khanda used by Guru Gobind Singh to prepare the amrit (Holy water) used in the first Khalsa initiation ceremony.
Then visit Bhakra Nangal Dam: It is one of the highest straight gravity dams in the world. It is the world’s highest straight gravity dam built across the River Satluj. Bhakra Dam also taps water from the River Beas which is used for the purpose of irrigation by the north Indian states of Punjab and Haryana. The view of the vast dam and the surrounding jungles is absolutely marvellous.
Day 7. Anandpur Saheb - Chandigarh
Morning After Breakfast Proceed to Chandigarh check in hotel. After a while rest Start your city tour start with Rock Garden. Rock Garden is probably Chandigarh's premier attraction, popular spot for tourists. It was created by Nek Chand Saini a resident of the city. In the1958.A visit to the Rock Garden is a must for all the tourists travelling to Chandigarh. The first phase of the rock Garden is a small canyon. The canyon opens into a series of chambers, each one filled with scores of human and animal forms in concrete and broken ceramic or glass.
Then visit Rose Garden. Rose Garden is Asia's largest rose garden. Here Alongwith the roses emphasis was also given on the trees of medicinal value and some unique specimen trees. Fountains and bright lights enhance its beauty at night and provide a breath of fresh air to all who come to enjoy a walk and unwind.
Then visit Sukhna Lake. Sukhna Lake is a beautiful lake that lies in the foothills of Shivalik range. The unique thing about Sukhna is that it is a manmade lake. This place is for enjoy the cool breeze and the beauty of nature. Chandigarh Sukhna Lake serves as a great picnic spot and an apt place for pursuing water sport activities. In the evening enjoy shopping in sector 17 market. Late evening back to the Hotel, Overnight stay at Chandigarh Hotel.
Day 8. Chandigarh - Back Home
Morning after Breakfast, Later Transfer to the railway Station/Airport to board train or flight for onward Journey. for back home and your next destination.
